Hi i got this rug and would like it to be appraised , its around 4 x6 not sure.

i would like to know what name it carries and want is the market price in U.S ans Canada.

The rug has like 8 small vertical cut holes.

I got lots of small oriental carpets to sell fast, so if i get inspired by your pricing i will post them up.

Old Persian Bidjar - Kurdish Rigion (North West Iran)

Very charming little piece and worth restoring those holes if it's still in your possession, as I have seen these sell for £500-600 and to replace one would cost a considerable amount more.

Nice find...
Kind Regards,

Stephen Saunders

I think this may be from Senneh, now call Sanandaj, Iran. I don't believe that conflicts with Stephen's assessment; they are both made in the Kurdish region of Iran. From JBOC's Notes on Oriental rugs: "Kurdish carpets are woven throughout western Iran...Major rug-producing centers include Senneh, Bidjar, and the district of Khamseh."

Some Senneh Kilims have a lot of the same design elements as your rug. Nice rug!

This is an old Persian Zanjan and apparently not in a good condition. It would probably cost you a few hundred dollars to restore this rug and I would not spend that much to have this piece repaired, because even in a perfect shape, it would not have a market value over $500.
