Hello,

this concerns the same rug as my last post "dirty old kilim." I now believe this is an Afghan Uzbek Maimana rug. I know that these have been made for a long time, and there are a lot of modern ones of bad quality. I am reasonably confident that this one is at least 30-40 years old, based on when the seller says his mother bought it.

Beyond that, what are the indications that would tell when this rug was woven?

Thanks as always for your opinions & advice.
