Really confused about whether this rug is silk, handmade, from where?

I put a large deposit down on this carpet, and before I accept it, I would be most interested in what you think it is. You will be able to guess what I was told it is, but I am not sure I trust this rug dealer, nice as they are.

I guess they told you it is a iranian Qum silk rug. I am pretty sure (need some closer pictures) that is art silk. I am sure it is chinese, but not sure about natural or art silk.
