first one looks like an Indo.Second rug definetely baluch (tribal)Not much value in either one.

cool. i only paid $60 for both and so im not too upset to learn they arent worth a lot. now i dont have to freak out about my kids or cats being in the same room! :D im assuming these are both machine made then? and when do you think they were made? thanks so much for the response!

No, both are handmade, they're just not particularly valuable. Not all rugs maintain their value. The Balouch is the better rug but is obviously in rough shape - the other is coarsely knotted mass-produced. Still great value picking up 2 rugs if you like them and are going to use them for $60.
