Picked this unusual grape and indigo rug at the auction. It appears to have some age as there are repairs to the kilim end of the rug. The other end of the rug appears to be wool fringe. The weft is black in color, while the warp is white. Can somebody tell me what kind of rug this is? Origin/Design/Ethnicity? It is a long rug, About twice as long as wide. Very low pile and fine knot density, approximately 175 kpsi.

This is a Yahyali rug from Turkey. It is 50km away from Kayseri. Kayseri is center for many fine quality rugs. This rug is one of very fine example of Kayseri region rugs. Circa 1930-1940. Good luck.
