Thank you and hello to all of you.

I live about 100 miles north Tampa and have this rug that i really do not know where to start . I did look at hundreds of sites without comming to a conclusion .
What i did found out is that it must be silk , yes i did cut a tiny piece of the fringe and burned it and it does almost smell like burned hair . The knots i am not sure if i am double or half counting but i think it has 32x36 per inch they do look like double knots ,... . It is really thick and the colors even it does not show on all pictures are bright just nice .
Of what i read it could be a Persian .

I would like to know where this rug was made and may be even the trade name .

I did get this in Europe on a lengthy trip and was part of my appartment there i own it about 4 years now .

Anyway i appreciate all the help .
