Persian Rug - need more info and value

I've just got that rug as a gift. All I know it is hand knotted persian rug, style-Tabriz and is circa 80 years old.
The rug is in a good condiction but it's beginning to show a little wear as you can see on the photo. The size of the rug is 3,5m x 2,7mthe I just need some more details and please give me comments on the rug and expected value. Thank you. This is first posting and i am not completely sure how to do this but hopefully it works.

An old Persian Tabriz rug with a Tile (Kheshti) design and about 70-80 years old. The wear is not abnormal for its age but it would have been great if the rug had a full pile. With its current condition, this rug is worth a bit over $1000 and I recommend you do not spend money on repairs and keep using it the way it is. The inscriptions around the border come from well-known Persian poets and the numbers in the back are probably just ID numbers stapled into the rug by the washing factory or a dealer and do not mean anything to you. Enjoy your rug.

Rugfirm, thank you for your comment. I'm going to give it for profesional cleaning and like you said - no restoration.
