I just obtained a 9x12 wool rug that I presume is from the 1950s or so. On th eback it says "No. 54 Ormia"

Please see the pics...

Can anyone help me identify this rug? What's it worth? Keep or trash it?

Thanks SO much!

This is a machine-made rug, and judging from the age/condition, it is not worth all that much (perhaps sentimental value only). I would keep it until you buy another rug, but if you have already bought another rug, you don't have to feel bad about trashing it.

Looks like a machine made Belgian rug and this type of rugs do not really have a resell value. If it covers the floor in your basement, keep it, otherwise this piece is not worth having around.
