Wish me luck friends, I have a client coming for lunch tomorrow who wants to see carpets. She is in the market for a rug and has bought jewelry from me several times in the past. I will serve her a glorious lunch, dazzle her with stories about the rug class, the 4.6 million dollar carpet, and all in all give her an afternoon she is absolutely NOT expecting. :) I wish I could have two or three such events a week with serious buyers. I'd be in heaven.

No, that was the cooking marathon, which I needed to get out of the way mostly before today because of this insane heat wave. But it was great, she bought one. Which is fine. She fell in love with my place and the look and will definitely tell her friends." So now that it's over, and everything is cleaned up, I am now looking like a female version of this >>>

wow, that is one relaxed dude! Glad to hear she decided to purchase a rug, this is very good. The heatwave has indeed been overwhelming to say the least, thank goodness it broke today though!

I know. It's been insane. And it's gorgeous tonight. Tomorrow is the rug class and I enjoy walking down there from the office on 49th and Mad. By the way, I passed a big rug dealership down near the teacher's skop, and even though they have several huge windows, their window displays look hideous. Dusty, pealing paint, rugs hanging are sagging and look like they have been hanging there for 50 years. And we're talking a prime piece of real estate. I'm thinking, man, what I could do with those windows if I owned that joint. Applause

Yea, I never understand that. Plus, rug stores do have to be careful about the rugs they choose to display, and the length of time they do so. I've seen some rugs get faded in as little as a couple months of being in a window. Not horribly faded, but enough for a non-rug person to see the difference.
