I bought these two rugs this past weekend, kind of spontaneous. Was told they were handmade from Iran. I'd appreciate any more info. Both about 4' x 5'. Thanks!

They both are Persian Sanandaj (also called Senneh) with cotton foundation and wool pile. Sanandaj is the capital city of Kurdistan province of Iran located close to the border of Iraq. Some old Senneh rugs are among the most valuable, collector pieces of Persian rugs. They are similar to Bijar rugs, are very durable and decorative pieces.
