Handmade Gabbeh rug from northern India?

Hi again,

My wife and I have brought home a Gabbeh rug the seller says is from northern India on the Pakistani border, hand-made, all wool, natural dyes...

I'd love to believe it all, but am not sure if it's all he says it is, and the price - 850 euro or at todays rates about 1100USD - would that be fair for a 2 x 3 metre rug? We have it in our living room and we both like it very much both for its colour and simplicity.

I hope the attached photos can give you something to go on.

Ian - it is no great quality, and it has no natural dyes. 850 is at the upper end of price fot this quality.
