So I stopped by the rug shop last night to snap a couple of pictures of the Qom with a strange signature (other thread), and there were a couple of other rugs which were also very nice...I pictured two of them here (sorry for the quality of the phone camera pics). The first is a double sided rug (4x6), silk, from Turkmenistan I believe he said. I had never seen one in person. The second is a larger one (6x9, Tabriz rug with very detailed and crisp Arabic script (prayers), silk based, wool silk.
