What is this rug and what is it worth?

My husband bought this rug at the seaport in Kusadasi, Turkey but were wondering if this really looks like it was hand knotted in Turkey and what it might be worth? The rug is wool on cotton and 6'x 9'

Forgot to mention, the tag on the back says only "Royal" under Origin. Do you know what this means?

This is handmade in China with a Persian "Tabriz" design, cotton foundation and wool pile, not a very high quality but nice color combination. The market value is around 1500.
