Hi,

These two certainly aren't expensive, but we liked them, and were wondering if anyone could help identify them for us? They are supposed to be Iranian, but that's all we know.

Thanks in advance,
jeff

Yes, both of them are Persian rugs, commercial grade, but good-looking pieces. First one is a Najafabad, a city close to Isfahan. Of course, the market value depends on the size of the rug. If it is a 9 X 12, it is worth around $2400-$2600. The second one is a Persian Mashad, and has the signature of the weaver which reads "Aftabi" on it. If it were signed by a famous weaver, it would definitely affect the value of the rug, but it is not. Again for a 9 X 12, the value for a private party would be around $2200-$2400.

Thank you for the response--it's nice to know where they came from.
