When my father died and my mother moved out of their old house, I got this rug that had been lying in our old living-room. I cannot fit it in my apartment, so it's been lying there rolled up, but I just got interested in it the other day and wanted to find out whether it was a real oriental rug and whether it was of high quality or any particular value worth mentioning. So I started counting knots and reading about rugs on the internet and when I couldn't get any smarter on finding out where it's from, I ended up here, hoping one of you could help me.
It was bought at the latest around 2004 and at the earliest around the mid-nineties and it's in pretty good condition (at least from my crappy layman's judgement) so I'm guessing it's not much older than that. It's got 121 (11x11) knots per square inch and is 3,20 x 2 meters big.
There's a note on the back saying "52022 320.202". I'm guessing the secound sequence of numbers is the size of the rug, but can anyone tell me what the first numbers mean?
I tried (somewhat poorly) to put together a picture to give an idea of what the whole rug looks like:
Thanks a bunch in advance!
