Hello everyone,

I'd like to get an estimate and overall impression of my rugs quality. Here's what I know:

I purchased it while in Turkey in 1996 and it's been hanging on my wall ever since. The certificate said it was made in 1992. (certificate is in storage)
it's 28 inches wide and 48 inches long including the fringe.
It's approx 625 kpsi

Hopefully it's authentic. Thank you all for looking and evaluating.

Respectfully,
Brian

Any idea of it's worth, or what a good asking price would be? I'll be advertising it after I get a better feel for its value.

Thanks,
Brian

since you are not carpets dealer and you could hardly get a good price when you bought it, so it's worth about as much as you paid for.

I paid $600 for it in 1996. It hasn't appreciated at all then?

I also live in Oregon and would love to see your rug. I tried to leave a forum email, but that that doesn't seem to be working . My email is btuma6@comcast.net

you should have it appraised or viewed by a local and trusted dealer

If you're in the Portland area I would suggest Atiyeh since they have a certified appraiser. They will give you a verbal analyis or for $75 a written insurance appraisal. However, make sure you go to the wash/repair facility on Division. The sales people at their retail store know very little about rugs.

btuma6,
I'm in southern Oregon. I'll need to research for the closest appraiser because I'm sure there isn't anything local. Perhaps I call Atiyeh and arrange an appraisal through the mail. If you have any questions or would like any additional pictures let me know.

Respectfully,
Brian
