These carpets are made in 3 different qualities. This appears to be the second grade. It is important to note that this quality rug in retail, if it is what I think it is, would usually be about $1700 at most. There are cheaper versions of very similar carpets which I have also seen on eBay. Another important note to make is that this rug IS NOT silk. Another point to make is that many, many dealers will call these caucasian/kazak (which are made in Pakistan) pieces vegetable dye. This is not the case. Although some of the colors may be vegetable dyes, the majority are not. Overall a great looking rug, but very poorly represented.
