Great looking rug, I think Krow will like it too... Although it's a little bit of a step away from the tribal, it still has that very bold look. It's actually somewhat of an unusal design for a sarouk. There are some bidjars that have this type of spiraled rose design elements. I think they call this a Gul (Gool?) Ferang design or something - usually seen in Bidjars I believe.

Oh yeah, most definitely. I really like the black, rust, and brick palatte. The interesting thing about bold carpets is unless you have a completely sparse minimalist program going in a room (yuck!) you need other elements of a room to keep the same conversation going in the same direction and not compete or get too jarring. Think Beethoven and not John Cage. :)
