Or that could be
A Story Rug
One doesn't have to read an awful lot about Oriental Rugs to hear about times that people discovered a part of a rug long after it has been displayed. I recently sold my "story rug".
First, I am a dealer but primarily in "program" rugs - that is, rugs I can order another of or another size of. The rug I refer to is a one of a kind - one of the first I brought into my gallery.
I had this rug displayed right at the front of a rack and it was there for over 2 months before I realized it was upside down.
Sure, it wouldn't make any difference on many (if not most) but suddenly this one did make a difference.
Here it is, upside down. Now don't cheat and scroll down that page just yet ;)

You see, what I *finally* saw is that there were two vases on the rug but they were not symetrical -
Nope, not the same size and not quite the same shape.
Of course I flipped that rug right around and had a great time showing it and telling my story.
What fun it is to see the result of an artist enjoying work.
Okay, you can go back and scroll down that page now. :)
