Looks different for a Tabriz, but I always find it interesting when I see alot of people just watching not bidding. Of course that can all change in the last 3 seocnds of the auction.

Am I mssing something?

Thanks for posting. Hard to judge from photos, but looks more 1950-ish to me. Design was certainly still done in the 1950s. Mid blue, dark blue, reddish brown and one of the reds look synthetic, rest can't tell.

I was a "watcher" too. Starting bid .99, sold for $666. The seller said no moth damage, rewrapped edges, 168kpsi...I really wanted it, but too large for my place. I like the design with the 'morphing' plants to animals.

I liked it too, but no space left either ... . Wondered whether the eyes were white cotton or silk, they popped out on the photos. Just don't think it's early 1900s, though, of course, this is a bit of an elastic term.
