I know I have no credibility when I talked about buying my last rug and a day later show another rug. At the same time I also have to answer to my wife why I bought another rug. My answer for $200 this rug was just too good to pass up. This was my chance to have a nice bijar.

She had heard that before, but is this a Kurdish Bijar of pretty good quality? The label from KAC, not knowing what KAC isstates "Design: Bijar" so I hope the design is also origin and it states "Quallty BITA.

I include side view of the selvage since I read the Bijar is only rug that the pile can stand by itself.
Would you have walked by this rug? Now what I was doing at an estate sale is another question I can't answer to my wife.

Presently I can't download the full rug's picture. I will try later.

Thanks youo.

The tag reads "AN INDIAN HANDMADE COTTAGE INDUSTRY PRODUCT". It also says "DESIGN BIDJAR" This is an Indian made copy of a Bijar design. However, the price is right, an 8' X 10' = 80 square feet of rug for $200. That's less than $3 a square foot. It will look better after a good wash and you love the colors and design of the rug.

Yes, but you take good enough pictures to read the tags! The one thing I have learned about buying rugs is that if a tag or the owner describes a rug as "design" it is not an original. The other thing I have learned is that rug sellers often, but not always, do not know how to count knots and are wildly optimistic on the age of their rug. When you find a rug seller that knows their rugs, it is usually a good place to buy from.
