Thank you all for earlier posts helping to identify my rug - now I must consider repairs. I have no idea of my options and what they might cost. If the rug is indeed close to a hundred years old and from northern, or western Turkey, or Bolshevik, what would its value be and how much would be reasonable to spend on repairs? Is it possible to color and not re-weave the black area that is worn thin? Could you recommend someone in the north eastern US I might send it to for repairs? Also, any further comments on its origin would be appreciated. Best regards, Tony
