Hi All, I'm new to the forum, and am wondering what I can find out about a couple of rugs I purchased recently. I bought them at an antique sale (not specific to rugs), and the vendor who was not a rug person told me that the deep red one was probably 80-100 yrs old (she bought it off a 70y old whose parents had owned it). Whatever the case it's not new. The other (with white field) is probably newer, but also not new. Any thoughts on where they are from, what they are called, how old they might be? Their value? I haven't researched the white-field one yet, but I was thinking that the deep red might be a Sarouk. Any thoughts? Possibly knock-offs? The fringe is worn almost completely off the white field, and totally off the deep red rug. They both measure roughly 10 feet by 12 feet, with the white field one being slightly longer, maybe 13 feet. Any and all advice is helpful. I've totally intrigued by them. Thank you very much, Olemulle olemulle attached the following image(s):
