I have this flat weave rug. Was curious about the approx age. I think it is from a Caucasian area. I think it is an interesting rug. talmadge attached the following image(s):

Colours, shape and both field and border design are compatible with Caucasian origin. It also looks like it has some age (perhaps early to mid 20th century, this is a NON-EXPERT guess). I've never seen this kind of flatweave with this kind of design though. I agree that it's interesting. Someone here will know more.

This is nice. Yes, Dagestan summac from early 20th might be right. A rare piece in my eyes. Part synthetic, part natural dyes.
