I've noticed that on the Rug Estimator and elsewhere on this site, there isn't a whole lot of information on Oushaks. Are these not a very popular style of rug? I'm looking at one here in Iraq and trying to get an estimate on how much it might be worth, although in my experience here, I'm not going to get much of a "deal." Here is a large rug I'm looking at, but they want 4,300 for it, which seems pretty steep. Thoughts anyone?

Be extremely carefull. The most guys that came in my store and showed me their "trasures" they bought in Iraq of Afghanistan where way overpriced and often not even handmade. Even Iraq is close to Turkey, the origin of Oushak rugs, most rugs come from India or Pakistan. Most "Oushaks" are lowest quality rugs from Pakistan in Ziegler style and sold as Oushaks. Post some good pictures, then it is possible to tell.
