Said to be a Taspinar , it is obviously a prayer rug. The dealer I purchased it from said it is 30 years old but it honestly looks newer than that. Nonetheless, I liked it and bought it. Angel
This dealer told me the price was wholesale. I thought then and still think it at least close to retail but, I liked it (for me, not for resale) so I bought it.
Anyone want to venture a guess on what it's worth? Don't worry, I won't have my feelings hurt - as I said, I liked it so I bought it. Angel

I just realized I didn't take a pic of the fringe. So I added a detail.

I think it's very attractive. And while it is a prayer rug, I can also see it forming the centerpiece in a cool multiethnic sitting room or small living room, right on the wall. For personal pieces, the right price is what it takes to get it. Like any hunt. I have bought things that I know I overpaid but I knew I had to have them. We all do it. Was it $400? (wgo=wild guess only)

Really cool looking design, great colors. The only thing is the fringed area looks a little machined, but I'm not sure that I question it's hand knotted. what size is it?

2'9" x 4'7", hand knotted....poor picture, especially of fringe. Contributing to that is that it was taken on a piece of apartment beige wall-to-wall carpet.

I would say it's newer. Maybe 20 years max, probably more along the lines of mid-90's. I'd guess somewhere around $175-225 retail.... some would ask more, others less... I wonder what the rug estimator pro would put this at Sick
