Hi all!

I am very much a rug-purchasing newbie so apologies for my ignorance. I've just moved into a new flat and am after a lovely rug to adorn the large floor space in my larger-than-we-used-to-have living room.

I've spotted the kind of thing I'm after on an interior design blog, but all she's said about it is: 'vintage rug, bought on ebay'. I can't work out what country / style I should be describing it as when I now try to track down my own version.

CAN YOU HELP??

Here's the picture...

Thanks!

What you show in the image is a flatwoven "kilim", the kind that does not have a pile. There are Persian, Turkish, Indian, and even Romanian Kilims in the market. Colors are often very sharp and patterns are almost always geometric.
