Yes, this is a Chinese rug with a Persian design. The quality of the wool and the dyes in this type of rug is not the best, and this is why they are not very durable. If possible, do not use it in a very high traffic area. If you were to sell it, I would say somthing around $800 would be a fair price for a private buyer.
