I love this rug which is mine, but would appreciate any additional inf

First it is a Shirvan lesghi star rug, right? I have't seen many with the light colors beige, blue, brown and gold.

It has two quard dogs, small nice S multi-color.

Some things I have read would make it a kuba others a shirvan.
My thought is the 1920s.

Any corrections or comments on the rug would be appreciated.

There is no better feeling than to look at a rug and truly enjoy it's design and esthetics, so it's great that you have this rug and love it! I think you're right that it is a Caucasian rug with a Lesghi star design. These rugs are usually very vibrant with a lot of color variation. It could be your rug has been tea/chemically washed years ago to give it the muted color tones. That also makes it more difficult to know the age of the rug. Here is a link with pictures and descriptions of 100's of Lesghi star designed Caucasian rugs. I think you might enjoy the variety that exists...

Thanks for you comments. I'm told there is one area that makes a lighter rug.
To a degree it's a shame to not have the bold colors, but yet the lighter colors aren't bad either. You were correct about sitting back looking which is even easier on small rug on the wall.

Thanks,
Bart
