Hello, I would like if it´s possible for you to help me with the identification of this rug, I took the photos as indicated and I hope they are ok.
I´m interested in knowing what type of rug,(region, year, material, etc.) it is and if you can help me with the possible value too.
Thank you very much.

Best regards,
Andrea.

this is maybe 1940's -1950's Persian tabriz garden panel design. Problem is the inscriptions- makes it very difficult to sell.

What size is it?

I´m sorry if I´m ignorant, but I don´t know anything about rugs, this is a rug that has been in the family since I remember. Why it is a problem the inscriptions?
The size is 8.86 ft x 11.06 ft(I hope this is correct, we use metric, in meters is 2.70 m x 3.37 m)
Thank you very much again for your help.
Andrea.

This is a Persian Tabriz, probably around 60 years old with a cotton foundation and wool pile. The problem with the pattern is that the inscription is poems by the well-known Persian poet "Khayam" and it may not be vary attractive to those who can't read Farsi. Another problem is that when you look at this rug from the other side, all trees and animals will be upside down. Colors are good, and such an unique pattern makes it valuable but not easy to sell. I would estimate that this rug would be worth $3000-$3500 for a private buyer.
