I have been offered those 2 pillows, any information about origin, age & value will be highly appreciated.

They are more or less identical, if you need additional pictures I’ll be happy to post them.

Seller is asking $ 1000 a piece.

Kurt,

These look a lot like a set of saddlebags that I just bought here in Kabul for $60. Understand that the one's I bought here were still connected and hadn't been converted to pillows. I understand that I'm closer to the source and that mine will still require work to become pillows, but still $1000 each seems really high. Hopefully one of the experts can offer a better opinion for you.

Rob,

So far I have been able to find out that they are Baluch saddlebags made by nomads, and that they are approximately 80 –90 years old, the colour are natural dyes the weaving is very fine, and they are in extremely good condition, with no visible imperfections at all on the front, and no repairs.

Hopefully somebody else will / can contribute.
