Is this an authentic persian rug? If yes, may I know the more details like when and where this was made and $900 a fair price?

To me it looks like it is machine made. Colors would not make me think persian. Try to get a picture of the back showing the knots, the fringes and the selvedge.

Impossible to tell without the photos like KAD said. Design looks more Chinese or European.

Thank you very much for your response. I thought the same that it will be very difficult to tell anything without looking at detailed pictures. So I contacted the seller, but he was unable to take any good pictures. I may have to pass on this one. Anyway, he sent me just one which is also a not great picture but take look and let me know what you think if you figure out anything

Not easy to tell by such low quality images. As far as I can tell, this should be a machine-made rug, and not a Persian. What type of a Persian rug does the owner claim it is? Tabriz, Kashan, ....?

It is handmade, 95% guess China wool on cotton.
