This rug is a Persian Shiraz. Rugs from this area, such as Abadeh and Kashqae, use similar patterns as well. Although they are not of the highest quality, these are very decorative pieces and therefore in demand. Some older pieces have a wool foundation (yours is cotton) and a bit more valuable. Nice piece, enjoy it.

The typhoon that has been flooding Manila just left and things are finally dry enough for me to take a few more pictures.

I hope the additional pictures can help establish a ballpark value.
