My wife and I bought this 8x10 rug roughly 12 yrs ago used. What is it and what is the fair market?

Markings are:
87/5
21(9?)4 (the "9" looks like a line with a symmetrical circle on top. Like a balloon or lolly pop)
20/
8x10
2t or + same "9" as above
5

It obviously needs cleaning.

I can take additional photo's if you would like.

We bought it at an estate sale in the hills of Berkeley Ca.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

You might get 50 - 100$ from private party. Pretty good quality, but no real value. If the stains get out after washing they might be real nice again.

Thank you for your help. I really appreciate you taking the time to view and reply.

May I ask you what I would call it if I were to sell it? Is it hand made? Would it be called an Oriental rug, etc? Even the smallest amount of information will help.

Thank you so much!

This is handmade in China, the quality is 90 line, and it can use a good wash. These rugs are not in "style" in the U.S. any longer, but in some other parts of the world, they are still very popular. I recommend you have it cleaned and keep using it because it is not going to bring you more than a couple hundred dollars. Saying that it does not catch a lot of cash doesn't mean it should not be properly cared for. Good Luck.
