Hello,
I have inherited a collection of Persian rugs from my grandparents. I am selling nine of them as it is too much work to maintain them and I do not really have space for them all. I am not sure whether I should sell them privately, through an auction or to a dealer. Does anyone here have any experience with selling rugs of this quality?
I have a pretty good of their worth but any additional information is always welcome
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Fred.

I have uploaded some pictures onto Picasa web:

This is a lovely collection. Are you willing to sell them separately or just as the package? Do you have prices for each and the package price? If you don't want to make that public you can email me directly at Jason@littbloodstock.com

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,

I would prefer to sell them all at once. But they can also be sold individually.

Bids are welcome.

Thanks,

Fred.

Nice rugs. Any idea about what you would like to get for them together?

I have had them evaluated. Carpets 3&5 could be sold for under 2000 Euro's a piece. The Nain rugs are of course a lot more valuable (especially rug 7).
I am only selling the matched rugs as a set. Therefore, rug 1 and 2 will only be sold together (the same goes for 3&5 and 4&6).

I don't know who gave you those estimates but they seem extraordinarily high
