Just an interesting reference list of rug and carpet manufacturers from around the world.
I'm sure it isn't complete but it is fairly extensive.

Note that this is not about shopping for a rug. These are not the retailers but the makers,
importers and exporters; over 800 of them so far. Drool
Please don't tell me about others to list. You can suggest a URL from a link at the top of that page.

great resource. I've never used this dmoz but I've heard a bunch about it, how is it different than wiki? is it used to promote business?

To promote business? No.
It is a directory. A huge group of volunteers, literally from around the world, who freely give their time to catalog lists of web sites that they think are worth being seen by others. There are editors on every continent.
The biggest complaint(s) about dmoz invariably revolve around "Why wouldn't you list my site?" or "When will you list my site?"
It is a bunch of volunteers working under no expectations to list x sites but to list quality sites they choose to list with a description that will be of use to the web surfer......not to the advertising/marketing people. Shame on you
A good read will be the official blog (updated just this morning)

I thank you for the opportunity to stand on my soap box for a few minutes and now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. Angel
