Hi I am not sure if I am doing this right or not , please let me know if I am. I purchased this rug last night at an auction for $30.00. I feel as if I got a pretty good deal. However I would like to know more about it. I have googled information on the tag and came up with nothing. I am posting pictures as I hope this will help to identify and maybe set an age for it and if it has any value. I intend on keeping it however it really needs to be cleaned. I really appreciate any help and information with this.. Thank you so much.
here is the link to my photos.
Again Thank you.

these were imported to the us in large quantity by several importers. smaller retailers would privatize the names. Chindia and Chandipur were popular names. Here's one that looks similar to yours

Thank you so much for the fast response ! It looks pretty good , wondering if it would be worth spending whatever it will cost to have it professional cleaned. Is it wool? do you think , or what kind of material were these made with? Have a great day !

wool, if you like it or plan on keeping it and it does not need to be repair priorr to cleaning it's probably a good idea to have it washed. They dont have a high market value as you can see, but at the time they were all the rage, and if you plan on using it and it is dirty you should have it cleaned to your liking
