Thank you so much for your reply, this is why I am so doubtful of his appraisal. I went back to his email and this is what he believes the carpet to be:
- From Tabriz (not sure).
- Shah Abbasi motif.
- He is not sure if the dye is synthetic or natural.
- ~250 KPSI.
- Hand woven.
- Couldn’t tell if it was ever tagged.
- Didn't tell me what material it is made of.
