Hi everyone. My wife and I recently bought a new condo and are have found that we like persian rugs. We are new to this and don't know much about it. I'm glad I found this forum and have already learned a lot. Could you help us learn a bit more about three rugs we got at an estate sale. Thanks in advance. I'll post each rug separately.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to know how old it is? How much should you pay for this rug?

All of your posted rugs are about 20 - 30 years old. The small ones would sell private party somewhere between 10 - 20 $ each, the bigger one 80 - 100 $.

Just a footnote on the prices KAD gives, in case they sound disappointing: these are the market prices. They do not reflect, for example, how many hours of work go into one of these rugs. Nor that they are one-of-a-kind: even if there are many of this general type around, none will be identical. Nor their aesthetic value.

Shereen is right - every rug is unique. Maybe this is your start to an illness, many poeple who are active on this forum share :-)! The rug virus is very dangerous. If you start collecting, rugs will enrich your life, but sometimes it will also make you mad.
Comming back to your rugs.
I recommend you should have them washed by an expert, and have the defects fixed. You will enjoy these rugs for many years, and maybe these where not the last ones to come in your house.
