Qum silk rug?

Greetings all.

I am newbie to this website and was wondering if I could get some help identifying a rug. I am in northern Afghanistan courtesy of the US Army and saw this rug that caught my eye at the bazaar. The vendor claims it is a silk rug from Qum but I am skeptical. He wants $1500 for it. It is about 1.5 square meters.

Could someone please take a look at these pics and tell me if it is really silk from Qum or if it is made somewhere else?

Yes, Qum rug from Iran. Not top quality, I am sure the dealer will go down in price. Make sure you don`t get in trouble importing a iranian rug to US - Embargo since 29. sept. 2010. Size is ca. 150 x 100 cm?

A friend of mine bought it. We brought it in and measured it. It was about 180cm X 99 cm.
