This doesn't look like the Turkish Yastik I posted previously, but it is quite small (24" x 33"). The warp and weft look like cotton, not wool, but the pile is wool. The ground color is a darker wine-red than the photo shows. Would this be Turkish too and early or mid-twentieth century? I am a novice with these rugs. Thanks for any help you can give me.

This is Persian, not Turkish. It has an American Sarouk type design and colour, but not (I think) a Sarouk weave. Lilihan? And it looks painted. See whether the colour on the front is darker than the colour on the back. First half 20th century?
Some people here will be able to tell you exact origin and give a closer approximation for age.

Thanks again Shereen, for your help. I don't think the other colors are much darker but most definitely the red is darker on the front of the rug. It is a pale red on the back but a deep wine-red on the front.
