Is this a hand-knotted Kayseri? I am finding it hard to ascertain what the KSPI is? What would be a reasonable price for this rug? Any insights/ observations? Thanks

The price has been reduced from $1100 to $950 to $895. Does anyone see anything clearly wrong with the rug. It is clear that this is not a very high KPSI Kayseri. Could this really be 3-40 years old?

It seems to be silk ((Kayseri rugs are often made of art silk). 30-40 might be, but my guess would rather be 15-20 years. I would try 600$.

Thanks for your comments. I will try $600 and see how it goes.

Looks to be Ghiordes knot (horizontally when you see two bumps in the one colour it is actually only one knot) so I'd suggest it would be 12/20? It's hard to judge from the picture. Roughly 220-240 KPSI.

The picture quality that's been put on the listing isn't good - which is always a worry - but I don't know if I like the look of the fringes. They seem rather shiny with the worry that they could be some sort of polyester silk-replacement. It may just be the camera flash.

Tried $600 but the lowest he is willing to sell it is for $775. Given the comments below from Little-Persia, I am not sure ....Could this be artificial silk. The seller of course maintains this to be pure/natural Turkish silk on silk.
