Hi,

I'm guessing by how the fringe is stitched on that this is a machine made rug.... can anyone confirm for me? Also, if you have any idea of a rough ballpark value for it, I would hugely appreciate it. It measures 395x300 centimeters.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Looks hand knotted and Iranian to me, wool on cotton, probably Kashan. The fringe is not stitched on. Rug is not antique or old. Maybe 1970s, maybe more recent. The medallion design is not that popular, and there are loads of these rugs around. (Go to ebay, rugs, size 10'x13', then search "kashan"). Still, if the rug is in very good condition, it may be worth a few hundred dollars.

Can you post photos as described in the rug images file? That would help.
