What is a fair price. I am new to the forum and to rug collection. Didn't know that there are double side hand-knotted rugs. Is this a genuine piece?

Double sided rugs are quite rare and expensive, so far so good. It us rather difficult to produce such a rug, and therefor these rugs are higher in price, approx. three times higher than regular. The quality of this rug is called 18/18 single knot, which is a medium priced commercial quality. Considering it is a double side woven rug, a price of around 2500 - 3000 would be realistic for this kpsi.

This rug sold for a little less than $3,000usd...I didn't know there was such a thing as a double-sided rug...

Typical of the rugs being sold on ebay, the rug shown (that sold for just below 3000 USD) is the same rug for which I posed some questions. One was posted as an auction the other as "buy it now" option (seller is same for both rugs)

It depends if the rug is really double sided, or just two rugs same size stitched together...
