I spoke with David, one of the owners of RugRag, and they've now doing free verified rug values for carpets which meet their standards. Check it out, really cool. Although they used a really rare rug in the sample, it's a great way to add to market transparency and build confidence. More innovation in the business now means sellers have to become smarter about what they do. So cool.

...does this mean anyone could submit there rug and get a certificate, or is this for someone who is looking to buy something on line.... just wondering (not sure if my question made sense)....

...oh, and by the way...i have about 4 of those rugs used in the sample just laying around... okay, i'm kidding....that is a serious rug....

haha, I wish I had a rug like that. It is a pretty awesome piece. The fringe is all there and does look pretty much unused, it's really rare to find rugs like that: an antique rug dealer's dream to see in this condition.

question made sense. I don't know if just anyone can get a verification, you would have to ask. I know the service is free for sellers, but I don't know if this is for a certain amount of time, or verification minimum. I would ask David, info@rugrag.com,
