for what it is, a floorcovering with history, it was probably worth it. pinks are actually bad dye - at one point they were a bright red, now very badly faded. The wear in the center is very, very, heavy. Even if this rug were in perfect condition it would not be worth a tremendous amount. Without seeing detail of the selvage and fringe, it seems to be from early 1900s, perhaps from the Caucasian region
