I was looking for feedback on this small rug I bought. I imagine I probably over paid for it, but I simply adore it. The photos didn't come out too great- the carpet shines and didn't photograph well.
Thanks for any feedback you have on it. Like I said, I think it's gorgeous, but I'm curious if it's nothing special to the experts here or if I have a rug I can be proud of.

Nice rug, should be proud. I have seen some new Chinese qums recently that have appeared and look very similar to this although it appears to be a true Qum. Where did you get it and how much did you pick it up for?

I bought it in Tokyo.
The dealer told me he commissioned it from the weaver- supposedly a grand master and that is what the writing says. I don't know if that's true or not, it could just be a sales pitch. I just found it beautiful, the colors are my favorite so I couldn't pass it up. It was totally a heart felt purchase. I'm just hoping I didn't get a Chinese knock off!
I'm assuming a Qum Jamshidi is a style? or maker? Sorry I don't know much! Thanks for all the help, you guys are great.

Jamshidi - One of the best designers in Qum. These rugs are very good quality, expensive and very popular in Japan.

It says it is a "Qum rug commissioned by Mr. Khahjeh-Tarogh", whoever that is. It is a pretty nice Qum, though, but it all depends on what you paid.
