Hello! I ran into this carpet in a store, and I want to know more about it (so I can find a cheaper one, or perhaps know what to look for later on in life when I have more money....).

http://www.alec.com/carpet/The colors were stunning - slightly muted; perhaps vegetal dyes? The rug was labeled as a "Sirjan" rug.....from India. From what I can find on the net, Sirjan rugs are Iranian. But then as I was about to give up looking for another online, I found this:
