Well, educated specifics I'm not sure, but here are some details:
This is prayer rug with a classical Beluch (or Belouch or Baluch) design (the multiple narrow borders and their design, the field design, a stylized version of the Beluch tree-of-life design), colourscheme (red, navy, lightish brown) selvages and weave (I believe), and wool on wool, hence possibly made by members of a Beluch tribe. The hands during prayer would go in the two left and right top compartments. The colours are synthetic. In the older and antique rugs made by Beluch tribes, the brown in the field would have been a little lighter, and undyed camel wool, the selvages would have been goat hair, and the red would have been less purplish, and the red and navy would have been naturally dyed sheep wool. The rug is not very old, nor very valuable, but adapts to many decors.
As to more specific age and origin, the experts here need to weigh in. It could be made in Afghanistan or in Pakistan by refugees from Afghanistan, but these are things I really cannot tell.
