probably not great, but still pretty...

...seller states it's an antique persian rug, approx. 43x79"...asking $150.

please let me know what everyone thinks!

nice rug, it is persian, from Meharban. Single weft production from approx. 1915 - 25. Price is not bad since inner field looks quite good, as long as you don`t mind the damages at the edges. Restauration is easy due to its single weft producton, but will still cost a few hundred dollars.

Thanks for your kind offer :-). From the new pictures I can see that what i thought was missing rug is fringe. So only the Shirazi (selvedge) needs some work, the fringes need to be fixed, some minor work in the center - all together no big deal. Great rug for this price.

well, i was already to buy and the seller, unfortunately, sold it to a local buyer; she said she was concerned i wouldn't of been happy when i received and went w/ the local sale. oh well, i was really getting attached to it, but that's how it goes. thanks for everyone looking and the great info from KAD. please see my other post of an interesting rug, but i think way too much...
